Redbud Rootball

Spent the afternoon digging out the stump and rootball of a redbud that died in our front yard a few years back. Very sore and tired, but it needed to get done as a replacement tree is on the way.

A group of good friends are giving us a new tree to plant in honor of my father in law who passed away this past week. With any luck after a good power washing, there will be some wood from the stump and rootball to make a special piece from as well.
